Scope

  1. I would like to request under FOI how many participants having a disability listed as Autism Spectrum Disorder have funding for Orthotics in their current or previous NDIS plans.
  2. I would like to request under FOI how many participants having a disability listed as Autism Spectrum Disorder have funding for Podiatry in their current or previous NDIS plans
  3. I would like to request under FOI how many participants having a disability listed as Autism Spectrum Disorder have funding for Physiotherapy in their current or previous NDIS plans
  4. I would like to request under FOI how many participants having a disability listed as Autism Spectrum Disorder have funding for Exercise Physio in their current or previous NDIS plans
  5. I would like to request under FOI how many participants having a disability listed as Autism Spectrum Disorder have funding for Personal Training in their current or previous NDIS plans

The FOI request is asking for participants with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The closest we could provide are those with autism as primary disability, which consists of the following ICD disability names:

  • F84.0 - Autism disorder
  • F84.2 - Rett syndrome
  • F84.5 - Asperger syndrome

As at 30 June 2023, there were 214,880 participants with a primary disability of Autism Spectrum Disorder with an approved plan. 5,023 of these had funding allocated to the “health and wellbeing” capacity building budget.

As at 30 June 2023, there were 214,880 participants with a primary disability of Autism Spectrum Disorder with an approved plan. 8,527 had short-term accommodation (STA) supports in their plan. 8,246 of these participants are not in Supported Independent Living (SIL).
