Note: a law firm is determined as being engaged on an AAT/ART matter when an active ART application is assigned to the external firm and the matter is active for 1 or more days within the date range. The figures in the table are approximate and are indicative based on the data captured in the ART LEX Management system which may include data entry errors, lag and timing issues.
Further, the total number of matters include new matters outsourced to law firms and matters carried over from the previous financial years. The NDIA has also transitioned matters between firms to align with contract arrangements. This can impact reporting where a single matter is reported by multiple firms while it was in transition.

Note: HWL Ebsworth was not engaged for any new AAT/ART matters in FY2024-25. However, there were still invoices processed for them in FY2024-25 for matters that they finished up or were reallocated to other external firms just prior to the start of FY2024-25.
If HWL Ebsworth attended a substantive hearing and the outcome was published in FY2024-25, the hearing would have been heard and finalised in FY2023-24. There is a delay in the hearing and the outcome being published.
