ATTN: National Disability Insurance Scheme Amendment (Securing NDIS for future generations) Bill 2026

To Whom it May Concern,

I am writing to express my concern with the newly released Bill which will impact individuals in my immediate circle. I am Vice-Chairperson on a Microboard for , who receives NDIS funding due to significant disability. I am also a Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist within the NDIS and have already experienced cut backs for a number of clients who required more dedicated intervention.

I am particularly astounded by the opportunity for the Minister to cut funding without appeal (s34a). This change is unjustified and creates uncertainty and anxiety for individuals on the NDIS.

There is more to each persons story than how their presentation may reflect in previous reports. Individuals abilities, barriers, and support networks can change quickly and often previous reports may not give the minister a full picture.

Removing the opportunity to appeal such changes leaves individuals and their supporters without any options to advocate and improve their situations. This is cruel and unjust. Individuals on the NDIS deserve choice and control and autonomy, it is reasonable and necessary to allow individuals to appeal and request reviews of their services, particularly as their needs may change.

I hope you review these submissions fairly and take account of the many Australians who are frustrated and concerned about these new rulings.

Yours sincerely,
