(NDIS since 2019) Cri du Chat Syndrome

What will happen if [redacted] – A proposed cut from October 2026 reduces participation opportunities?

[Redacted]: We as parents are devastated. The loss means she’ll miss out on what little enjoyment has been found through community activities over seven years under the NDIS program; previously confident but now feeling alone due reduced access to group interactions which were once integral parts of daily living, she’s grown more independent thanks largely because of support provided via NDIS services; it impacts both herself & our family deeply—especially given my husband’s Parkinson disease requiring constant care while I’m already stretched thin managing his needs alongside this new challenge ahead with funding cuts looming large in future months should they come into effect soonest possible time frame without further delay or intervention needed immediately! This reduction would be devastating not just financially but emotionally too - it could lead many people down paths where loneliness prevails and confidence wanes away entirely leading them towards isolation instead of inclusion within society at large. It is soul destroying indeed! Please understand that social aspects play a significant role for individuals like her who rely heavily upon such connections throughout their lives.

Eligibility Reassessments from 2028.

I would find this type of reassessment to be very emotionally draining. I think eligibility should be based on medical diagnosis and not just on functioning capability. My daughter was officially diagnosed at 3 years of age. At primary school level, she was again tested. ’am told by her psychologist that she has a moderate disability, IQ of around nearby52.redacted might seem to be high functioning for anyone who spends about 15 minutes with her.She function wellonataskforaveryshortperiodoftimeundersupervision.Isshefunctioning enoughtoleadanormallife?
