community activities that we have spent years building up skills in participating and being included. I rely on the NDIS to assist me to be able to continue to meet their needs now and into the future. I have given up my career, moved our house, homeschool them, manage their therapy, include them in the local community and meet all their continuing individual disability related needs. Autism is a lifelong neurodevelopmental condition, and early consistent support is dramatically improving their communication behaviour learning long-term independence IF NDIS support is removed, my children will likely loose all these \skills\be unable make positive gainsalso become isolated excludedand iwillbecome so burnt outiwill struggle careforthem.
I am also significantly concerned about impact of adult son if he loses his supports Ihave more capacityto assist himWhat happenhim? Im already at burnout managing young autistic boys havemore give. Thank you taking time readour story.
