- My overall view of this Bill
(Do you support / oppose / have concerns?)
I am deeply concerned about the changes to this bill, and oppose it in every sense.
- My main concerns
all of the proposed changes I take issue with.

● What your concern is ● Why it matters to you
- increased administrative and compliance requirements are entirely ableist against the people who access the NDIS. expecting people who are already having a very tough time to increase their executive function just to survive is appalling.
- non contactable rules are ridiculous, as for many disabled folks there are an array of reasons why they may not be contactable, and cutting off their funding and expecting them to do more admin to resume their funding is terrible. people could be in the hospital, having an extreme physical or mental health episode, could have their accessibility limited and therefore cannot meet the contact requirements, such as having their alternative communication devices break and not have an alternative.
- limiting when changes can be made takes away people’s autonomy to alter the care they need, and should not be up for debate.
- making sweeping generalisations according to how folks are classified within the NDIS and cutting all of their funding and access to specific supports is outrageous. we should not be taking away support for people. we have the money and budget to support people, do not take this away. funding our defence budget, not taxing the richest 1% or the evil companies who extract the planets resources, and stripping disabled folks of the supports they rely on, is disgraceful.
- do not use AI or computer generated systems to take away a humans job, and make the system work much less effectively.
5.What I want the committee to understand
this bill stands to harm me, my community and our society as a whole. people will be pushed to the brink of physical and mental decline, and it will be the governments fault for implementing these changes. disabled people matter and their access to support matters.
- My position on this Bill
i strongly oppose the changes and endorse the government to make the right decision and put our tax paying dollars where it matters.
that is not our defence budget.
stop killing disabled people, and instead make their lives easier. now.
