To Committee Secretary Community Affairs Legislation Committee Re Inquiry into the National Disability Insurance Scheme Amendment Securing the NDIS for Future Generations Bill 2026 Dear Committee Secretary, I write in response to the National Disability Insurance Scheme Amendment Bill.

I am a disabled woman and psychiatric survivor.I still have nightmares that I call ‘Big Building’ dreams.They are haunting of time spent inside rooms unable leave without permission each room encased another surrounded labyrinthine hallways.Their reads like Big Building dream.Institutionalisation something this community knows when we see it because history memories frightened dreams hands quaking weight night lay awake at night due.Bill urge Government withdraw this bill.Wish evoke former Minister NDIS Mr Shorten speaking Sydney Institute year asked question: What person worth? Your value mine?All equal or some less than others? Less if cannot live where want go where want segregated job interview complete education enter building get on plane train even cast private ballot State Federal election One-and-a-half million Australians disability friends family members unpaid carers know answer well Answer: Yes, not valued according potential limitations voice heard sufficiently political discourse second-class citizen.
