National Disability Insurance Scheme Amendment (Securing the NDIS for Future Generations) Bill 2026
Submission 1628
Dear Senators,
I am writing about the proposed changes to the NDIS. My friend loves her son very dearly; he is an autistic young man in his early twenties facing significant mental health challenges that make life extremely hard not just for himself but equally so for both myself as well as our families’ lives too! The level at which we have been able to support him through the NDIS has still left us needing more assistance than ever before! My friend’s situation becomes even harder because it seems like every time there’s a new challenge or problem arising from his condition, another one follows shortly after—this year alone being particularly tough due also having had responsibilities caring simultaneously towards my mother suffering dementia alongside everything else already going wrong within their household environment… She doesn’t complain though despite how difficult things are becoming now and I know she fears what might happen when she herself gets older and won’t be around anymore either… She worries deeply over all these issues with current levels of funding provided under this scheme.
