Do you feel these changes have been explained clearly enough?
Currently I’ve received no information regarding any changes directly from government correspondence; it’s through social media. The changes mean:
- For my family, increased worries about how will get along without more involvement due to aging parents;
- Carers’ hours available are reduced so their income decreases, as doctor appointments etc., vital parts of daughter’s life that require attendance would be managed unclearly if supports were cut.

When she goes out with her 1:1 workers it is due to their strong encouragement that she participates in gym and swimming. Exercise is part of her routine as she enjoys visiting Sea Life Aquarium, traveling via train or ferry ride, singing songs during birthday celebrations - all activities supported which encourage participation.

The Government has had a strong focus on inclusivity not only with disability but lgbt and multiculturalism,
It appears this reversal could disadvantage people like redacted who already have limited funds. The impact extends beyond my daughter’s individual needs; it affects our entire community because:
- She spends hours sitting alone listening to music instead of engaging socially;
- Her lack of social interaction limits understanding movies/games/crafts/activities;
- Communication skills are severely lacking without regular interactions outside home.
