Introduction

I am an NDIS participant living with myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME). I have been a participant for three years. • NDIS funding is not discretionary “extras.” It’s often what keeps many from being hospitalized. • We don’t have backup families; suggesting this ignores those without local resources who need care at home due to work commitments, single status, etc., • Treatments aren’t one-size-fits-all: Some historically recommended ones can now be dangerous if forced on people; it risks severe harm.
