I am writing as an GPand memberofthe communitywitha numberoffriendswho havebenefitedandredependant on what then DIS can currently provide While in support a fit purpose approach funding aligning with functional capacity feel stronglythatfunding needs go those most vulnerablein ourcommunity unjust when money found luxury private education further aware lot ND ISmoney wasted processes supported culture grabbing money packages because there significant need perhaps betterprocesses put place save money.
Concerns follow below. 1 Minister power cut participant plans will despite approved by NDIA; that proposed cuts social and community supports shift responsibilities back onto families especially women sure well removing workforce has wide ranging social economic cost; That proper consultation not been about the people participants carers service providers affected great deal fear around these adds burden stress to who already dealing much stress level seen year old man grow up autism life enriched NDIS opportunities participate create meaningful connections he will need independent living especially parents age very concerned funding like him reasonable function would thrive without support Please consider carefully powers affect lives of most vulnerableour community think Australians take granted country should caring supportive its vulnerablepeople make happen more often Yours faithfully -
