National Disability Insurance Scheme Amendment (Securing the NDIS for Future Generations) Bill 2026

Submission 2086

For the Inquiry: The National Disability Insurance Scheme Amendment (Securing the

NDIS for Future Generations) Bill 2026. I would like to write this submission to explain my issues with the proposed NDIS cuts. Personally, my experience with NDIS is recent as I was diagnosed with ASD Level 2 after I was having severe difficulties in day-to-day functioning. I was not able to look after myself properly in terms of hygiene or food and was worried that I would never be able to move forward to become a better citizen in society. The NDIS has funded me to have sessions with an Occupational Therapist to work on my daily living skills and my ability to care for myself has greatly improved. Without these sessions, I do not think I would have made the progress I have made. I am now undertaking a Bachelor of Education Secondary) as I have always wanted to work and be productive member Society. I looking use funding future Finding Keeping Job If my NDIS plan cut may not be able Work therefore greater burden system My issue NDLS cuts infringement human rights disabled people independent they can also concerned how affect greater society without support many disabled who could reached higher potential stuck trying get basic needs met They end up group homes which cost unable go if there no support finding keeping job There costs hospital their plans are cut urge those read consider long term social economic effects disabled people not burden but asset different ways when supported Thank you time.
