Submission 2355 disproportionately affect those in rural areas, and travel is tiring and expensive for the most abled body person.
I am not an expert in reading bills and appreciate the bill’s digest. In Recommendation 3: Provide a fairer and more consistent participant pathway, do I not understand how specific diagnosis’ can not allow for access? If a person has been diagnosed with a disability, and getting treatment and accommodations when they are diagnosed can help prevent a decline in their functioning then does this mean government responsibility now before condition worsens? And what happens if treatments bring someone back up high enough for NDIS funding loss? They still disabled get worse. Another recommendation:’As March there were total participants (NDIS Quarterly Report Q p.). Should Government reach its target number of participants would be around fewer than currently scheme as well substantially lower growth earlier projections.’ These people significant vulnerable who lose funding detrimental to health dignity line faceless system decides whether left without support hope rise AI current use by cutting many disabled subjected lives afford loved ones Funding life death means many people also concerned cuts social community participation guidelines Senate Committee think COVID-19 lockdowns fully abled trapped inside reality requires assistance do things take granted The NDIS luxury necessary crucial service crux lives many disabled alternatives danger leaving so treating disposable important live perfect cost-cutting measures revisited expense most vulnerable society Appreciate time committee taken review our submissions will defend most crucial service Kindest regards
