Remove a Restricted Access Officer from a Record

The content of this document is OFFICIAL. This Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) is for use by Restricted Access Managers (RAMs) only. It will help you remove a Restricted Access Officer (RAO) from a record in the NDIS Business System (System).

Checklist

Pre-requisites

You have:

  • read and understood Our Guideline - Your privacy and information
  • have read and understood Standard Operating Procedure – Restricted Access – Understand your Restricted Access Manager role
  • confirmed your Restricted Access Manager user access
  • been advised that a Restricted Access Officer has left the Agency, changed roles or has a conflict of interest.

4.1 Remove Restricted Access Officer (RAO)

  1. From the NDIS Account screen, select Contacts.

  2. Select the Relationship Type RA Officer for the Restricted Access Officer who is having their access removed.

  1. Change the date in the Valid To field to the date access will be removed.

  2. Select Submit.

4.2 Next steps

  1. Determine if you need to replace the Restricted Access Officer. If:

    • Yes: go to step 2
    • No: go to step 3
  2. Replace the Restricted Access Officer using Standard Operating Procedure – Appoint Restricted Access Officer to a record.

  3. Inform the person of the change to their Restricted Access Officer using Letter – Restricted Access change of RAO.

  4. Upload Letter – Restricted Access change of RAO to Inbound Documents.

  5. Remove the Restricted Officer’s name from the Alert on the persons record.

  6. Update the Interaction Restricted Access approved, Assign RAO template to say that this Restricted Access Officer has been removed from the record.
