APR Progress and DSW Cost Model
APR Scope:
- Due to pending changes from NDIS Review, the APR has narrow Terms Of Reference focusing on disability support worker (DSW) service therapy supports coordination short-term cancellations. The Pricing Policy team received nearly submissions so far significant increase over previous years primarily from participants providers.
- Concern was raised that narrowing focus creates risks while broader policy change awaits government implementation slow pace could worsen existing problems for pricing structures relating differentiation regional variations client mix specific service needs improve outcomes.
Therapy: Initial finding suggests NDLS Price limits might be at parity or potentially lower than other government-funded schemes indicating shift in market dynamics A concerning reduction active registered providers observed Further investigation needed understand why deregistering shifting their services away scheme trend more apparent than previous years.
