Attachment C - NDIS Early Childhood Early Intervention Approach
- Family identifies support is required & searches for an Early Childhood Intervention service
- The Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) service will work with the family to:
- conduct a screening to determine support needs
- If likely to meet NDIS access, Collect Evidence of Disability on behalf of the Agency
- Access Request Form submitted to

- Family is referred to alternative specialist ECI service
- Family chooses provider
- Family further develops a new plan & works with ECI provider
- Supports received including longer-term functional capacity
- Participant’s plan submitted for approval

- Screening to determine supports
- Short-med term functional capacity
- Relationship building to improve social interactions & behaviours
- Family capacity/capability building
- Building greater inclusion
- Improvement toward developmental milestones
- Participant’s plan submitted for approval

- Child exits the NDIS as they no longer require EI supports and is well integrated in mainstream & community services
