Mr Gifford took the paper as read and noted that pricing consultations had been completed and the data analysis was well prepared to come to the next meeting of the Board. He noted the Board will have two decisions at its next meeting. First, whether the 2% temporary loading for the Disability Support Worker (DSW) price is unwound within the year or over 2 years. Second, whether there is sufficient evidence to hold therapy prices for another year.
The Board discussed the paper and in particular the temporary loading and therapy prices.
Management noted that the price review was happening in the context of pricing and payments also being considered by the NDIS Review. Management mentioned the NDIS Review had recently submitted a paper to the Disability Reform Ministerial Council on pricing and payments.
