From the research email: Can i suggest that you read the following; RES 334 Evaluation of CANS, ABAS-3 and LSP-16 outcome measures — We found that each of the three outcome measures are recommended to be used alongside other tools and assessments to get a detailed understanding of a person’s functional capacity and support needs. Each of the three outcome measures requires the rater to be familiar with their client. However, the degree of familiarity and the methods of achieving knowledge of the client may differ for each of the tools.
- RES 335 Reducing Applied Behaviour Analysis therapy over time — No evidence was found regarding the effectiveness of a step-down model for reducing the intensity of Applied Behaviour Analysis over time. We found a lack of consensus regarding appropriate intensity and duration of Applied Behaviour Analysis therapy. Recent Australian guidelines on the delivery of supports for children with autism note that supports should be individualised and there is no set number of hours of therapy which are appropriate for every child.
