Hello, my name is Kyle Cogan. I live in Wangaratta Victoria.

There were two assistive technology requests submitted one in December 2017 and one in February 2018.

I’m not sure what the timeliness is for assistive requests to be assessed and whether approved or not but 9 months is not considered timely especially when it is said that the NDIA are meant to contact me when things are to be approved or not and what happens there after.

Each time I ring the NDIA to find out progress there are no answers and no timeline as to when there will be answers.

In Wangaratta blindness is a bit of an after thought when it comes to finding NDIS agencies to go through and there are aspects of the scheme that are a dog’s breakfast and there are alot of things that need significant improvement.

An assistive technology request for a braillenote touch was submitted in december 2017 and an assistive technology request was submitted in February this year for a Smart Vision 2 Premium GPS unit. and since these have been submitted no word. Yours sincerely,
