I would like to make a simple submission about the NDIS acceptance process of Application of Disability and influences of Talk Radio Hosts to get that approved when rejected by the relevant evaluating officer.
Practical Experience:
My only Grand Daughter is now 3 years old till now she can not talk properly or say a word complete, she would express her desires by either shouting or pulling some one by the finger to rise her up etc, its very heart breaking to see her like that.
My daughter has taken to a speech therapist who identified her as disable with DELAYED Speech and requested NDIS to review her case for possible NDIS Grants.
The relevant reviewing officer has reviewed in her child care centre, again at her home and finally rejected her application stating as she doesn’t have any disability.
My daughter is reluctant to put a label on as Disable; perhaps she is tired of NDIS review / rejection and don’t want to take the matter any further.
I have heard over 2GB radio, where Ben Fordham has taken a NIDIS Rejected case on behalf of a Mother and talked to the higher authority and it was approved.
Does that means that every mother should take their case through the talk radio hosts to get their case approved by NDIS?
These above matters could be easily available from 2GB Radio records/transcripts?
NDIS was very liberal before the Ministry was taken over by Hon Bill Shorten and to prove his efficiency; he made it unusually tough and unfair even for genuine people to get their application approved - until and unless they have good connection / network or famous SURNAME to get the application approved for NDIS.
I would appreciate if the Esteemed Committee could accept this submission and do some thing for less privileged people to get their application for NDIS Grant approved.
