I would like you to respond to my concerns as a family member of two women with disability who live together in their own home. My interest is that I want to respond to the proposed changes in the NDIS Bill.

My concerns

I am concerned/agree with the proposed changes about …..I am concerned that my daughters with legislative changed will not have the continued support they receive now.

Why has there been a shift from “reasonable and necessary supports” to “reasonable and necessary budget”?

I notice the removal of the terms reasonable and necessary in the bill. Why was this?

I am concerned with stopping Support Coordination to Navigators will weaken the support given to people with disabilities with complex needs. Navigators look like a model of a call centre..

Currently the bill is the scaffolding for future changes to take place. What is the timeframe for some concrete changes to be actioned and released?

These are only few of my concerns yet I feel the NDIS changed could move the support for people with disabilities back to the dark times where people lived in boarding houses and group homes as those were the only options
