Thank you for the invitation to make a further submission to the Community Affairs Legislation Committee’s inquiry into the National Disability Insurance Scheme Amendment (Getting the NDIS Back on Track No. 1) Bill 2024 (the Bill).

Please find enclosed a joint submission made by the Department of Social Services (DSS) and the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA).

By way of further information to support the Committee’s inquiry, please also find enclosed a letter from the NDIS Scheme Actuary to the Minister for the National Disability Insurance Scheme dated 1 July 2024, regarding the estimated financial impact of a two month delay to the passage of the Bill.
