To whom it may concern,

I am extremely concerned about the new NDIS Bill.

The new bill proposes significant changes to the NDIS which will impact it’s participants and new participants trying to access the scheme. It will also impact how their disabilities will be assessed and funded.

Co-design is essential for true inclusion and needs to be a legal requirement in the New NDIS Bill, so that any decisions and changes are made with consultation with people with disabilities and their advocates.

This Bill may not fully account for people with multiple disabilities. Not one size fits all!

The Bill does not give a clear indication that participants can challenge or replace needs assessments they find do not meet their disability requirements and they could be forced to have assessments done by people they have never met. This can cause a lot of stress and pain to some people with disabilities.

The Bill does not give enough information on how the Participants of the scheme will be able to have choice and control to use the funding in their plan in accordance with their goals flexibly. The NDIS was meant to give its participants choice and control not take it away from them.

I ask you to take into consideration my objections to the new NDIS Bill. I feel this Bill is attacking everything we as a disability community worked so hard for.
