Hi there,

While the majority of amendments are improvements to the lives of NDIS participants, there are still some areas that need clarity.

Co-Design - Government committed to co-design, but has not ensured this is clearly legislated.

Transparency - All assessments to be made available to participants to ensure participants are told which of their impairments the NDIA believes meet the disability or early intervention requirements

Clear Review and Appeals process - A participant deserves the right to appeal NDIA decisions.

In addition, given the recent public reporting on the level of rorting by Service providers, far tougher criminal penalties are required to discourage operators who are only in to “for the money”. They are stealing from taxpayers and the participants.
