Wishing to flag the following also.. the NDIS is advocating for dsw to be better qualified. That’s fine. However when completing cert IV in community services disability as part of cert placement at a site it requires for a number of hrs IE aged care facility or SDS school or special school etc . It has been advised to me by course providers that dsw have to be vaccinated against covid. . mandatory. However many dsw participants are not over 65,as obviously not in NDIS and also many participants are 18plus. So it is another barrier and obstacle and form of control being placed upon dsw .it was new legislation introduced June 2024. Is that part of NDIS trying to gain more control of workers etc. Just saying
