My son has an NDIS package. If he goes into SIL does some of the payment for his rent etc come out of his disability pension? Also I am noticing that some parents are still collecting the carer’s allowance when their young person is in a SIL arrangement. Also I believe that NDIS should be means tested. There are millionaires receiving NDIS funding. There should be a sliding scale as to who benefits. More scrutiny should be applied to the service providers especially when it comes to report writing and travel to the client’s home. These 4 ideas will save the taxpayer and government a lot of money.
