Dear Sir / Madam,

The NDIS has made a tremendous impact to its participants, their families and carers. It’s vital for our family to be able to assist our 15 year old severely Autistic, nonverbal son with therapies and various supports inc. respite.

It would be great to see everyone in need have access to the supports they require, a more tailored holistic program that encourages clients to increase their independence and feel they’re too an important member of their community taking into account carers need supports too?

Without NDIS, families like ours would not be seen in the community and it would have detrimental effects on our mental, emotional and physical health. A large number of participants would need to be in shared housing away from their loved ones and the ripple effect it would have on our community in the long term is unimaginable.
