Hello As an Extremely Concerned NDS Participant here is my Statement on the Proposed Changes to the NDIS

I would like to write a letter to you about the upcoming NDIS changes that Bill Shorten is trying to put through parliament. Frankly, myself and thousands of other NDIS participants are extremely concerned and worried that it will either:

A) force many off the scheme, B) take away our rights and choice and control, and our right to choose, and C) give even more power to an agency that is extremely corrupt, has a terrible culture, and doesn’t care about people with a disability in the slightest. D) Take away Peoples Choice and Control and Right to Choose Peoples Right To Review by Making Everyone Agency Managed This is a Terrible Idea and severely Restricts Participants and there Rights E This Bill if Passed will give more power and control to Corrupt Agency that dosnet care about people with a disability doesn’t care about helping people and only wants to cut costs force people off the scheme control peoples lives and give the bare minimum possible level of funding and the NDIS has lost its way and become a haven for providers to rort the system and make money whilst people with a disability suffer andare put at risk this bill isn’t about people with a disability or helping them or getting the ndis back on track its about cutting costs and taking out rights away and giving the agency more power to cut our funding and not give us the supports we need Lacs and Deligates who are unqualified and don’t know or understand disabilitys that is extremely frustrating F What The NDIS needs to do to get back on Track is A Fix its culture and stop giving people the bare minimum level fo funding and taking everything away then we have to fight it at the AAT ( hundreds of millions of dollars spent by the ndis in legal costs to fight participants yeah that’s a great use of money not or terrible computer systems that don’t work ( pace) forcing providers to be registered doesn’t change things 90 percent of the issues ive had have been registered providers ( fraud Theft Assault Discrimination property damage putting my life at risk and as a provider I have to fight tooth and nail to get anything done about it yet participants get punished and the agency comes down on them like a ton of bricks for the most minor of things that is wrong

Getting the NDIS commission to have some power and actually able to do something that

needs to be fixed im fed up of them being a toothless tiger thatcant do anything

Getting the NDIS back to what its should be about Helping People with a Disability

In my own experiences since Bill Shorten has become the NDIS Minister and Labor has taken power, the NDIS has become far more stressful, frustrating, and far less helpful to deal with. It has certainly made my life worse and put me at risk. In the last 18 months, I have been the victim of fraud by multiple registered providers, I have had my property damaged, and I have had my life and safety put at risk by registered providers.

I have had my NDIS funds stolen and misused by registered NDIS providers. I report this, and nothing happens. I get punished for asking, “Can I get this funded? Can I get that funded?” Asking for permission and trying to make my funds work to suit my goals and ability and help improve my life, the NDIS doesn’t care about any of these things. Even when I am left in an extremely dangerous living situation and have no support, I am told that the agency doesn’t care and I need to find new supports when they have taken away my right to choose, my right to feel safe, and my right to have supports I feel comfortable using.

I have had a revolving door of LAC’s who lie, mislead constantly, give the wrong information, and I have even had NDIA delegates and employees make up rules on the spot to stop me receiving support and going against the NDIS guidelines.

I get the impression that all Bill Shorten and Labor care about is cutting costs and giving people the bare minimum level of supports and not finding people properly, severely restricting how they can use their funding. Then, when they don’t use that funding, take it away anyway. I have had Providers Charge my NDIS plan Crazy Money for Supports and Services that are not of an Acceptable Quality and failed to last a reasonable period of time then when caught out breaching the Australian Consumer Law ignore the Problem and then blacklist the client and the participant is stuck with a broken/useless support the provider with the money and gotten away with it whilst the toothless Quality and Safe Guards Commission takes a year to get back to you and does nothing at all or when a participant has the audacity to ask for more funding because the pathetic plan the agency gives you isn’t fit for purpose and doesn’t meet your needs they take away your rights and make you agency managed so providers can just rort your funding and you cant do anything about it but hey its all the participants fault because they ask for help they need supports they must be doing the wrong thing and not accepting the pittance the National Discrimination and Insurance Fraud Agency Gives you……… and if you don’t like it then you have to take it to the AAT which is a 12+ month Timewasting fest for the NDIA and there Fancy expensive lawyers to waste your time and drag out the process instead of doing the right thing and reviewing and giving

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

people the help they need even when you go to the effort of getting all these reports and supporting evidence the Ndis just ignores it anyway what the NDIS Needs is an Independent Review not Run by a Corrupt Minister Bent on Helping a Corrupt and Flawed Agency bent on taking peoples rights away ruining there lives and making them suffer The NDIS Needs to Scrap LAC’s Get Delegates that are Qualified and Understand Peoples disabilities not any Joe Blow from the street who ignore reports and evidence and don’t give people the help they need Clamp Down on Dodgy Fraudulent Providers and actually deal with Complaints by participants in a timely and serious manor it shouldn’t take a participant finding tooth and nail and having to wait 6+ months for a complaint to be looked at Clamp down on Government waste if the ndia wasn’t spending hundreds of millions of dollars on terrible computer systems that don’t work or fancy lawyers to fight participants instead of doing the right thing and working with the participants to get the help and support they need the blowouts wouldn’t be so bad And the Culture of the NDIA and the people that work there needs fixing so badly and within providers so many providers are in it for the money and don’t care about people with a disability at all and its all about greed and how much they can rort out of participants plans and from the government and NDIS workers need to be on the same page be trained and Qualified on how to deal with people with a disability and there needs and to stop expecting people with a disability to be a lawyer and a robot and know every single line and facet of the NDIS act and punishing them for not and the way the agency communicates with and treats people Even things like making changes to peoples plans without them knowing or calling up for a check in when it’s a sneaky plan review without letting the participant For my Own personal experiences my Blood Pressure has risen sharply I have experienced depression anger and my Health has gotten worse fighting the ndis and I will now need more support to get my disability related problems back to what they were before all of this Honestly gotten to the point of wanting to end my life rather than continue to deal with the NDIS and this flawed corrupt Broken system or rather sit alone without any support or help from the NDIS and Leave the Scheme and did the NDIS or even a single NDIA employee care or do anything to help me nope………. Ive been left to fight a broken flawed corrupt system alone real change needs to be done before its to late was just the start and its only a matter of time before more peoples lives are ruined or worse………… The NDIA is guilty of Human Rights Violations Fraud Dishonesty - Deception Assault Neglect Abuse of Vulnerable People and Causing Death this needs to stop But instead of Really Fixing the NDIS Bill Shorten is doing the opposite and Making it worse but instead of Doing His Job He Gets a Nice STA Capacity Building Trip to Switzerland I Would Gladly be willing to give more information and I Urge you Please Vote AGAINST Bill Shortens NDIS Amendments Bill and There needs to be an Independent Review into the NDIS

Bill Shorten and the NDIS Do not Care about People with a Disability They Do not Care about our Safety or Wellbeing or our Quality of Life or making sure we get the supports we need funded all the NDIS and Bill Shorten Care about is Cutting Costs and Going after the Wrong People Tens of Millions of Dollars of Taxpayers money each year gets given to lawyers to Fight People at the AAT for Having the Audacity to ask for more funding or to get what they need funded on the NDIS even with all the reports and evidence the ndis goes nope

ignores it and then its taken to To The AAT where the ndis drag there heels and waste years of time how is this remotely fair to people with a Disability I myself have lost most of my funding lost all access to my supports and ive been waiting 6+ months for my matter to Progress through the AAT system all meanwhilst im homeless and my wellbeing and medical health has deteriorated significantly and all the ndis and bill shortens office do is tell me oh well wait or find new supports this process is extremely unfair and the system is very flawed whilst providers rort the system and rip it off the governments priorities are back to front and people with a Disability should be the Priority of the NDIS Scheme

Additionally the Reviews Decision to Take away Plan Management and Make Everyone Agency Managed and Make Every Provider Registered is a Terrible Idea and severely Restricts participants Rights and Gives massive Power to the Agency which never does everthing for the good of participants If the NDIS were to take plan management away People with a Disability Would loose there Right to Choose There Right to Review and There Right to have a say (since agency managed participants cant stop providers from invoicing and billing what ever they want and its free reign on providers to rort and scam participants plan without the participant able to do anything about it that’s the good thing about being plan managed is if you see an invoice that doesn’t look right or is fraudulent you can tell you’re plan manager to put a hold to it and ask the provider hey wats this you cant with the utter Terrible and Garbage Pace System )

In my experience 95 percent of the issues ive had with providers have been Registered Providers small tiny insignificant things such as Fraud Dangerous Driving Assault Damage to Property Threats putting a Vulnerable Person at Risk Leaving a Vulnerable Person Stranded in the community and what gets done about it I report it and it gets brushed under the carpet and nothing gets done about it

But that’s not the case and its quite clear from my own Experience the NDIA and Bill Shorten have no integrity no duty of care they don’t listen to people who are willing to speak up you hear him on TV going on and on but does nothing and is all talk the NDIS Comission is useless and has no power and if I want a provider to be investigated or punished I have to fight tooth or nail and have to be 100000 percent sure and have to back everything up only for them to be given a verbal warning yet I get punished for asking can I get this or that funded or needing more funding

Where is the Integrity Honesty fairness Where is the Right to Choose Where is the Duty of Care Where is the Professionalism I have seen none of this in the NDIS In the last 3 years and Since Bill Shorten has taken over as NDIS Minister its gotten worse

And The Scheme Is Rife and Full of Providers whos only goal for being with the NDIS is $$$$$$ They Don’t Care about the Law They Don’t Care about Providing a Quality Service or about Participants Safety and Wellbeing all they care about is rorting the system and making a profit and in my experience most of these Providers have been Registered Providers and when they call you out they black list you as a client and its next to impossible getting everything done about it The NDIA has become an Evil and Corrupt Organisation Bent on

Controlling and Ruining People with a Disabilities Lives and allowing Dodgy companies to

rort the system and get away with it
