To whom it may concern

and a provider director I am extremely concerned about the proposed changes in Bill Shortens “ndis bill”

These changes are extremely unfair and seem to take away all choice and control for participants and their families.

As a provider I have many concerns as do my clients who are extremely concerned and worried that they system is failing them.

Some examples are:

e Fraudulent practices by registered NDIS providers that are being ignored

e Abuse of participants in regional areas with no outcomes- severely effecting participants Mental health and wellbeing

e Choice and control being stripped away

e Providers ignoring participants changes in circumstances

e Plans that run for consecutive years without adjustments to allow for changing life situations

e Support coordinators abusing funding and signing away clients rights

These are just a couple of examples of how these new proposals are going to allow for more abuse and more fraudulent behaviour by some providers.

I strongly encourage the commission to allow for co-design which has not occurred.

All NDIS participants and their families should be given the opportunity to participate in the new design and given the opportunity to share their stories.

Let’s work together to allow participants the best opportunity to grow into strong independent individuals who feel supported by their chosen government.
