The current disability system has many problems that need to be addressed.
The current system is not really a system. Whomever makes the most noise gets the money. A National approach is needed to give families better funding to make choices in their lives. At present we at the mercy of the State Governments with very limited funding options. WE CONSIDER THESE THREE FEATURES WILL HAVE THE BIGGEST COMMUNITY IMPACT Ensure support and equipment is available when needed. People with disability family will influence the types of support and services offered Older parents and families will not have to worry what happens when they can no longer provide support. THESE ARE THE THREE SUPPORT TYPES WHICH SHOULD BE PROVIDED URGENTLY Equipment and home/vehicle modifications Support for families and carers Flexible in-home/outside home respite
WE SUPPORT THE NDIS BECAUSE IT IS A LONG OVERDUE IMPLEMENTATION URGENTLY REQUIRED FOR THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE ALL ACROSS AUSTRALIA
The main features of the NDIS that will make a difference to the community are:
- Ensure support and equipment is available when needed, People with a disability can choose the types of support to use, Older parents and families will not worry what happens when they can no longer provide support
The most important services for the NDIS to provide are:
- Equipment and home/vehicle modifications,
- Support for families and carers,
- Flexible in-home/outside home respite
I support the introduction of the NDIS.
WE SUPPORT THE NDIS BECAUSE IT IS A LONG OVERDUE IMPLEMENTATION URGENTLY REQUIRED FOR THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE ALL ACROSS AUSTRALIA WITH THE LIST GROWING EVERY DAY.
