Please consider this email a formal submission by me to the Senate Standing Committee on Community Affairs Inquiry into the National Disability Insurance Scheme Bill 2012.

The current disability system has many problems that need to be addressed.

my daughter is24 and she has Autism and i am 50 and i have health problem to to and we have been trying to get her into full time care or part time care but we are tell at we are not old enother for at to happen or we missed out to the funding again

The main features of the NDIS that will make a difference to the community are:

• Minimising the number of times people have to tell their story in order to get support,
• People with disability/family will influence the types of support and services offered,
• Older parents and families will not worry what happens when they can no longer provide support

The most important services for the NDIS to provide are:

• Recreation and community access,
• Support for families and carers,
• Accommodation options

I support the introduction of the NDIS.

so we will not have to ask for more money when thing go wrong we would know the funding will be there so we can know if any think happen to use your children will be look after so we can peace of mind
