Please consider this email a formal submission by me to the Senate Standing
Committee on Community Affairs Inquiry into the National Disability Insurance
Scheme Bill 2012.
The current disability system has many problems that need to be addressed.
How can we make a difference…. As a person with a special need and having a wife and child with the same I understand the everyday challenges put before us my wife and I also work with in an environment where there is lots of people with special needs without the ndis we may struggle more I m also a family man and believe there may be a lot of families in the same position we need these services and more I also ask that when working the ndis out put yourselves in the shoes of people who deal with these challenges and more everyday .
The main features of the NDIS that will make a difference to the community are:
People with a disability can choose the types of support to use, Better access to mainstream support and services, Better access to education and work opportunities
The most important services for the NDIS to provide are:
Life-skills, Employment support, Support for families and carers
I support the introduction of the NDIS.
I support this scheme for this will assist many people who face many obstacles and challenges everyday they need this as everyone in Australia would know or have someone with a special need
