National Disability Insurance Scheme Amendment (Securing the NDIS for Future Generations) Bill 2026 Submission 100
To whom it may concern, Please do not pass the NDIS amendment Bill in its current form. It removes rights, removes choice and control amd will harm people with disability in my community.
My son is an NDIS participant. He has a degenerative condition called neurofibromatosis type 1 which causes tumours to grow anywhere in his nervous system on nerve endings. Everybody has approximately 3 billion nerve endings in there bodies. had a brain tumour in his right parietal lobe resected in 2020 and has an acquired brain injury and result of this. He also has 7 other tumours we monitor with 6 monthly MRI and he is accesing care of 11 specilists through QLD health. He also has a severe motor speech disorder, caused by the brain tumour, he fatigues easily, has short term memory loss, intellectual disability, alien hand syndrome and ADHD combined type. NDIS has changed his life and taking away his supports his community participation and cutting his allied health therapy budget will be detrimental to him.
He is a 14 year old boy with a passion for life, please don’t take this way from him. He gets bullied daily at school for his speech disorder and his disabilities, we are currently waiting on xray results to see if yesterdays bully BROKE HIS LEG! He is suffering enough!
We are already terrified for his future if these unfair and inhumane amendments go through.
Please please reconsider and work with the disability community for fair and right amendments.
Nothing about us without us!
