National Disability Insurance Scheme Amendment (Securing the NDIS for Future Generations) Bill 2026 Submission 1222
NDIS CUTS:
As a past employee working in Remote Aboriginal Communities for 10 years I’m passionate about the quality of service being provided to Community Members by NDIS.
One provider/owner I worked with showed up on one occasion only, and never returned again.Purely to be seen to be making an appearance only. I checked his website,to ensure his was a legitimate NDIS provider, however the website was an atrocious mess with spelling mistakes and overall was clear as mud!
A support worker from this NDIS provider was sent from a major city, It was very obvious that he had received no training in culture,.He struggled and came to me for advice, with no assistance from his employer throughout.
This provider was happily overseas living the good life in his original country of orgin, from his photos posted on social media whilst the support worker was trying hard to support the client 24/7 in a very remote area.
Rather than employ cuts to the genuine people that require the services and the genuine providers that are doing the right thing. You should be looking at provider agencies who are rorting NDIS & not caring too much about their clients, but only the dollar.
