National Disability Insurance Scheme Amendment (Securing the NDIS for Future Generations) Bill 2026 Submission 1251

I’m writing to you because I’m worried about the proposed changes to the NDIS. These changes are being called reform, but they are cuts.

They will make it harder to access the NDIS, reduce supports for people already in it, and remove support before other options are in place. This will leave people with disability without the support we need to live everyday lives. When support is cut, the need for support doesn’t disappear. It gets pushed onto families, carers and other systems like hospitals. This is already causing stress and uncertainty for people who rely on the NDIS. These decisions are being made without people with disability. That needs to change.

I am asking you to:

  • stop cuts to supports
  • ensure no person is removed from the NDIS without suitable alternatives in place
  • protect participation and inclusion supports
  • maintain our right to choose who provides our support
  • ensure review rights remain fair, accessible and effective in practice
  • embed genuine co-design with people with disability
  • be transparent, show our community the legislation before it goes to parliament fix the system so it works properly. don’t take away plan managers that are in local communities and are registered and only have plan management in place they do good things and are a local face can’t punish everyone due to bad providers. Support Coordinators help save money and help participants with all othe changes and keeping spending in line with supports and a safe face in the confusion of NDIS.

To save money on the NDIS and stop fraud every person providing a service is suppose to have a YELLOW CARD make the invoice have this Yellow card number next to the day of support. This would eliminate a person to over charge and if they do there can be AI to pull them in the system.

People with Disability have got evidence and informaiton about their indidivual needs and have plans that work for them and acknowledgement

of supports needed. The changes make uncertainty and they are already dealing with the impacts of their disabiltiy on a daily level and this increases the stresses and makes them feel like they are not wanted and the government would rather that they die and reduce the cost to the governement and this what is wanted, it splits community who don’t live or understand the needs.

People with disability are being cut out of the NDIS supports we need to live ordinary lives, where we are included in our communities with real choice and control over our support. Weakening it affects people with disability, families and the whole community. Please listen to people with disability and act to stop these cuts.

Yours sincerely,
