Submission for the NDIS Senate Amendment (Securing the NDIS for future Generations) Bill 2026
I’m a disabled person (not on the NDIS). I acquired my disability from a workplace accident which left me with a brain and spinal injury in 2011. I am on a Disability Support Pension. This is my second submission to the inquiry.
I am asking you to scrap the proposed Bill or at the very least to listen and implement the changes recommended by Every Australian Counts.
Their recommendations are:
1.Stop the Minister from imposing caps on essential NDIS supports under section 33(2EA), including caps on funding, support intensity, frequency, duration and worker-to-participant ratios
2.Stop the Minister from making across-the-board cuts to community participation and therapy supports under section 34A.
3.Release the Rules and key legislative instruments before any vote including the budget algorithm that will sit behind the automated decisions.
4.Publish impact modelling, to understand the real impact of the proposed cuts.
5.Ensure no one is removed from the NDIS before real alternatives exist.
6.Protect review rights and participant choice and control.
