National Disability Insurance Scheme Amendment (Securing the NDIS for Future Generations) Bill 2026
Submission 1466
I am a privately practicing Osteopath in Northern NSW who provides osteopathic care to multiple people on the NDIS, as well as family, friends and carers of people on the NDIS. A lot of my patient’s on the NDIS suffer from chronic pain because of their disability. This can severely impact their function and involvement in the community and other social settings. NDIS has enabled these people to receive the specific individualised support they need, to help them better manage pain, have their independence and be part of the community. This allows them overall to have a better quality of life. If funding cuts result in necessary individualised support not being received many people will negatively impacted both physically and mentally that reduces their quality of life significantly some cannot leave house if do not get needed support or care That strongly oppose new NDIS Bill.
