I’m saying this as a family who lives this every single day: when you make the NDIS harder to access, harder to navigate, and harder to survive in, people break. We all saw what happened in Mosman Park Western Australia, a tragic double murder/suicide—a whole family gone because isolation, pressure, and lack of support crushed them.

That didn’t come out of nowhere. It came from a system that keeps ignoring lived experience and keeps stripping away the supports that stop people from falling off the crack. If this Bill takes away flexibility, choice, and the little control we have left, you’re not “protecting the NDIS” — you’re pushing families into the same desperation that leads to tragedies like that. We need a system that listens to us, not one that makes our lives even smaller and more dangerous.
