Dear Senator,

I am involved in the care of my sister who has a profound disability and is hundred percent reliant on her daily care needs. She is non-verbal, blind and cannot walk and relies on the support of her mother and through the NDIA, we have been self managed for 5 years, and this has provided good choice and access to various support networks.

We are afraid that the current NDIS bill amendment will profoundly change this for the family and the care for my sister.

Please do not pass the NDIS amendment bill in its current form. It removes rights, reduces choice and control, and will harm people with disability as a whole, who are the most disadvantaged and vulnerable.

I support the work of placing the NDIS on a sustainable long term footing.

I do not accept that the work of getting there requires Parliament to pass the Bill as drafted.
