National Disability Insurance Scheme Amendment (Securing the NDIS for Future Generations) Bill 2026
Submission 1523 My name is Eden McColl, I have a child with a disability, and I am deeply concerned about the changes this government proposes making to our NDIS. I am writing to you to oppose the new bill. As a parent I am extremely concerned for my child’s future. So, I ask the committee to listen to families of disabled persons and consider their experiences before deciding on any changes. My child should have safe access to society; these rights could all become endangered if we accept suggested reductions within the NDIS system.
- The committee must either refuse those suggestions which would decrease opportunities in terms of social & communal engagement;
- Or ensure individuals who are disabled can participate fully through an appeals procedure where ministers cannot make cuts unilaterally.
