deeply concerned about the drastic changes proposed in the NDIS Amendment Bill 2026. Giving this limited time, the general public—and more importantly—those who are already struggling to live and cope with disability have had to respond is unfair and outrageous. Having a family member living with a disability, this proposed amendment bill will cause further life-changing disadvantages and take us back to leaving those truly needing NDIS support voiceless or hopeless regarding whether this government actually cares for all Australians. Don’t weaken these most worthy people who struggle enough as it stands; this amendment puts fear into our community’s most vulnerable members who should be able to enjoy their best possible lives while managing lifelong disabilities they cannot simply wash away.Support to shop for food, support to do basic household jobs, support to manage basic needs like washing and showering, support to get to health appointments such as physiotherapy, support *just being outdoors generally without isolation at home from contact within communities. Inclusion and acceptance along with understanding that not every form of disability shows visibly but still exists alongside pain and constant worry others may fail comprehend so please don’t judge quickly by putting everyone under one heading since each need remains personal yet real. All these fundamental requirements remain challenging even now—the prospect alone of losing access altogether shouldn’t add another burden onto them either. Accessing doctors/specialists essential becomes threatened too through implementation changes outlined here only some examples I can convey considering response time constraints imposed upon me during submission process related directly towards addressing concerns raised about how bill was introduced publicly overall.

I strongly oppose the current version presented thus far concerning NDIS Amendment Bill suggesting instead more inclusive decision-making amendments warrant careful reconsideration.
