To whom it may concern, I am writing to express my concerns about the proposed changes to the NDIS, as well as the process by which this consultation has been handled. As a disabled adult, I rely on the NDIS to maintain my health, stability and ability to participate in daily life. At present, I am too distressed by the proposed changes fully read respond original documentation detail From what understand Proposed reforms would restrict funding increase evidence requirements placing additional administrative burden stress individuals families Many us already struggling significantly manage day-to-day survival supports currently place Reducing access adequate funding will harm people directly but also increased strain community including hospitals mental health services emergency social supports A short-term focus reducing expenditure fails account long-term consequences under-supporting disabled These include poverty worsening outcomes greater reliance crisis services It reduces capacity of disabled participation education employment community In turn weakens broader economy places pressure unpaid carers public systems Ultimately cutting essential disability support not sustainable approach Also concerned accessibility fairness Consultation process many disabled people time energy or capacity response proposals particularly given distress they causing This raises concerns whether voices most affected adequately represented Disabled have right dignity meaningful participation decisions that affect their lives Finally raise issue funding priorities broadly If cost central then important consider equitable approaches revenue rather than disproportionate pressure disabled people essential supports Includes ensuring large corporations high-income earners contribute fairly tax system Strengthen progressive taxation more sustainable just way supporting essential public like NDIS rather reducing for people who depend them basic functioning safety Thank you your time consideration
