INQUIRY INTO THE NATIONAL DISABILITY INSURANCE SCHEME AMENDMENT
Securing the NDIS for Future Generations) Bill 2026
To committee secretary community affairs legislation committee Overview: The author writes in opposition to this bill as an intelligent being capable of compassion who supports everyone’s right to live well. This is regressive, archaic, unethical, dangerous; it causes catastrophic harm on people w/ disabilities due to cutting support so much we lose quality life or booting us off entirely leaving isolated alone with nothing else available, denying procedural fairness & ignoring our UN Convention Rights Persons Disabilities. as participant since ’16 psychosocial disability autism chronic pain fatigue conditions not responsible systemic structural flaws integrity safety failures poor practices created within their own system issues result limited government oversight failure act substantial advice endless recommendations numerous inquiries royal commission played no role hiring incompetent employees plan budget cost blowouts committed rampant fraud sharp practices unethically wealthy at expense disabled I have spent millions fighting lost cases against exhausted defenceless participants yet feel punished crimes despair from realizing NDIS inept power destabilize threaten erase amazing support decade split-second decision knew when applied that a decade down track legislative power arbitrarily withdraw all my support would never bothered applying. The provided life-changing support kept alive out hospital able care myself do volunteer work and meaningful life yet will likely destroy that No-one involved NDIS had time read consider impacts repercussions the lives persons disability consultation processes offered shams worth participating My life already destroyed before even got parliament because too change quickly impossible process changes continual state uncertainty confusion fear anxiety about how survive if bill passed impacting right now
Permanence Test:
Outraged being forced prove eligibility again after met stringent requirements serious permanent disabilities WorkSafe Victoria, NDIS Services Australia ten years ago should not keep proving fact to satisfy public service box ticker clear guidelines introduce new hurdles sole aim getting rid thousands of If removed From NDIS giving up hope for life Aged Care option mental health only ever caused me serious harm’ll seek help there nothing else available & Government fully knows. The also means must prove exhaust every treatment option available Don’t know limited or no treatments some disabilities don’t suggested treatments cause additional harm We are laboratory rats where one treatment suits all An employee with medical qualifications should be excluded because they’ve checked their list I haven’t tried any seriously have human rights choose consent what treatment whatever ailments If cancer anyone make chemotherapy surgery unless consents doesn’t exclude from healthcare

Submission 1668 don’t choose the options they present but that’s exactly what this bill allows the NDIS to do. This requirement in the bill demonstrates ableist ignorance, it ignores the rights of the individual and provides the NDIS an excuse exclude people who don’t think tried hard enough or whose support should be provided another department. It also fails consider availability costs treatments across Australia.Obviously designers always been capital city dwellers because clueless about needs.

being able to leave their home, go anywhere and do whatever they like in the community but I can’t. I need support to live that sort of a life now. I only get to do that for a few hours each week so when I go shopping or for a coffee with my worker, it is not a luxury. tIt is necessary for my mental and physical health, well-being and quality of life and without it,I won’t bother staying alive. For peoplewithout disability, shopping goingtoa nursery, museumorartgalleryortestingacaféforcoffeewithfamilyorfriendsisan everydaypleasureandsomethingtheycompletelytakeforgrantedi cantonlyleavemyhomeinthesafecompanyofmynworker.ItisusuallytheonlthingIl lookforwardtotandenjoyforthewholeweek.Ifinallyhavesomeone totalk towhoalso providesmeewiththecnfidencetosafetoshop fornecessities.Only someone witheempathy, knowledgeorexperienceofdayabilitywouldconsidercuttingcommunityparticipation.Ifthis billpassesasist willbetheadirectcauseodedeteriorationinthelivespeopledisabilitypeoplewilldieIts akin todereivingpeoplenuiltightfoodandwater Itishumanrightohave relationshipswitnothers, tohave someonetotalktoo, toloveyour homeandenjoybeingout in the communityevenifitswitheomesomewhomspaidaccompanyyou Fraud, increased compliantworkforce, wider providerregistrationrequirementsI agree ith amendments to combat these issues that impact on all participants but moremore weare being scapegoatedanded blamed as ifwe are fraudsters.TheNDIScausedtheseissuesbycreating a systemthatwas unregulated and highly susceptible tous ofthesesignificant integrity concerns.GovernmentandthenDIS have been warned for years advised what todobut they ignoredall didnothing allowing it become massive problem.Sometimeminds ignorantthestoryhas evolved beentwisted dragparticipants into conversation astifwereblameforthesestructuralintegrity issuesthatshould havedincludedfoundations NDIS whenestablished Talk about blame shifting bullying people disability Im happy this partbill proceed Ministerial powersThis bil takes away already limited power control peopledisabilityhavetheir lives passes directlytotheN DIS minister. It sets dangerous precedentallowingministertotalcontrol over someone life This not United States America China Russia single minster should never havetoreducethesupports participant needs live their based opinion supports neither necessary reasonable No minster should select cohort example older women with psychosocialdisability autism then limit or remove support solely whotheyas worthless.A ministernoclueaboutourlives so making decisions peoples existence completely wrong totally unjustified ReducedparticipantnumbersIfparticulannumbershave tobe reduced make sure done across board I two disabilities long unfairly singled out targeted media NDISHave government as the cohort people disabled enough NDIS costing too much Weve named blamed shamed if we are responsible everythingwrongwithNDIS As there nothing seen our disability variable impossible deeply hurt by almost daily discriminatory igno rant and ill founded dialogue The idea bill will allow funding only cover disabilityparticipant gained access absolutely imbecilc cannot separate myself identify which impacts function whole notion dehumanising ridiculous People need viewed holistically Royal Commission highlighted but Australia successive governments routinely ignore findings recommendationsUnscheduled reassessmentsI disagree this aspect ofbill In ideal world delusional advisors exist ignorant fact everybody potentially seconds away acquiring serious permanent disability They dont comprehend bad stuff happens all time can change split second Reassessments significant changes someone sitting intheircosyN DIS office cantcomprehend quickly your life person disability deteriorate whensupportsneedto be adjusted increased matter urgency maintainlife don’t think any participants willingly engage unless necessary because exhausted stressed just living For seven years despite informing during three plan reviews my ndis file recorded had supportive family nearby Notonlywasit always untrue telling them it was true seemed animpossible task

Reassessments should be assessed fairly and on an individual basis without the considerable delay there is now. This bill and the attitude of the government and the NDIS assume that participants are requesting reassessments for fun. I don’t believe that’s the case at all.
