Dear Inquiry Members, I am the father of an adult child who has had significant mental health issues since she was 8 years old; She now age38 due to potential consequences this bill current participants suffer extreme psychosocial conditions - I do not support NDIs bill On any reading public information seeks undo achieved participants supported ndis ndiS transformed daughter life ours should continue improve in ndis inefficiencies poor checks balances ineffective enforcement But if considers profits various scams overcharging it participant money hungry opportunistic service providers However drive cost savings original intent nDis seem lost Specifically:

  • It welfare insurance program people recover maintain better life;
  • Intended support most serious disability impediments live life;
  • Intended assist physical incapacities those with mental health issues ie psycsocical conditions contribute function society;

NDIS has worked for them and my daughter, you are now going to take away the very services that are their safety net to have better life.My daughter others achieved(to date) is outcome NDIS set- itself-and are now going to have taken-away.The current scheme provides many tangible support services including specialised equipmentand funding.For those with complex psychosocial conditions the personalised supportservices availableassist people find way myriad aspectslife can be debilitating overwhelming. The proposed changes removing service enabled maintain ability function society.I foresee daughter will no longer work; withdraw lose purpose.Who wins from that!To honest this makes mockery ‘RUOK’ campaign-my daughter won’t! This seems like finding best level medication prescribe halving person seem recovered’.Complex mental illness needs ongoing support reinforcement sustain apparent recovery so they don’t relapse.
