I wish to formally express my opposition to the proposed changes contained within the National Disablity Insurancce Scheme Amendement SecuringtheNDISforFutureGenerationsBill2026. While Isupporttheneedforallaccountability,sustainabilityandfraudpreventionwithinthENDISIdonotsupporreformsthatmayreduceaccesstoessentialsupportscreatadditionalbarriersforparticipantsweakenreviewandappealrightsorshifttheschemawayfromitsoriginalpurposeofprovidingreasonableandenecessarysupporttoAustralianslivingwithdisabilit. Iamparticularlyconcernedabout: potentialtighteningofofeligibilityrequirements; increaseuseautomateddecisionmaking;\nrereducedflexibilityparticipantplansfundings;
limitationsonreviewsappeals;\ thelikelihoodvulnerableAustralianlosingcriticalsupporthandservices.TheNDSwasestablishedtoprovidedignindependenceequitableparticipationpeople living with disability.Any reforms must be developed transparently, in genuine consultation participants carers families providers and advocacy groups.IurgeGovernmentSenateCommitteereconsidertheseproposalchangesundertakebroaderconsultationensure that no participant is disadvantaged by reform introduced name sustainability The NDISmustremainparticipantfocusedfairtransparentaccessiblecurrentfuture generations.Sincerely,
