National Disability Insurance Scheme Amendment (Securing the NDIS for Future Generations) Bill 2026

Submission 1827

Analysis by Disability Support Consultants of the NDIA’s own consultation documents confirm that most autistic children will receive mid-range funding regardless of individual need This ‘appropriate treatment’ rule adds further barrier top system already rationing support. I ask Committee amend so that treatment counts appropriate if genuinely accessible given location finances and medical circumstances I also ask Committee explicitly confirm legislation autism permanent lifelong neurological condition no curative treatment exists.
