National Disability Insurance Scheme Amendment (Securing the NDIS for Future Generations) Bill 2026
Submission 1846
To the Senate Community Affairs Committee,
I am writing to register my strong opposition to the proposed NDIS Future Generations Bill and to express deep concern about the changes the Government is proposing to the NDIS. As a community member who values the dignity, safety, and inclusion of people with disability, I believe the proposed changes are unfair and risk undermining people’s rights, safety, and independence. These changes would reduce choice and control, limit access to the community, and roll back hard-won progress toward full participation. I respectfully urge the Committee to protect the rights of people with disability and ensure the NDIS continues to uphold its founding principles. In particular, I ask the Committee to:
- Reject the proposed cuts and any measures that reduce social and community participation; Guarantee robust rights to review and appeal so people can challenge decisions affecting their lives; Safeguard genuine choice and control including ability use providers one’s choosing—registered or unregistered while maintaining appropriate safeguards.; Allowing these changes proceed risks returning time when people disabilities excluded devalued often neglected abused While current system not perfect enables people participate contribute recognised equal members society Please consider concerns do pass this NDIS Future Generations Bill . These quite sickest kids need your help.
