My husband provides support for people on the NDIS and I have a number of close friends with disabled children. I am very concerned about the new NDIS bill and am opposed to the changes in their current form. The NDIS currently not only allows clients agency over their own lives but also allow them remain part family parents final say care Without NDIS families know would unable financially provide needs children already exhausted burnt-out carers under further mental physical stress These proposed changes uncertainty causing unnecessary pressure stretched limit One particular family knows has low functioning non-verbal autistic adult son health suffering hugely result implications change NDIS In myself my husband works together families work disabled children worried loss social support able choose trusted workers Also worry negative impacts impact mental physical health broader society should this bill passed For all these reasons believe current harmful should Parliament
