National Disability Insurance Scheme Amendment (Securing the NDIS for Future Generations) Bill 2026

To whom this may concern,

My name is and I am a NDIS participant. The passing of this bill would significantly reduce my quality of life and result in hospitalisation and/or Death.

Support improves the quality-of-life using prompts to complete simple tasks such as hygiene, cooking, cleaning as well as taking the required medication and accessing the community. These are all tasks that can not be completed without the support or by myself.

To break this down even further my support not only assists with access but helps keeps my tenancy making sure I have a safe place to live and do not become homeless not only that but ensuring I keep my medication that is prescribed by a doctor.

My main concern is that passing this bill will put more pressure on the health system which is already at its capacity here in Queensland. Passing this is not saving money but simply pushing g it to an area that is already struggling and oversaturated.

I am one person and there are thousands on their NDIS, if this bill is passed the only option we have is to rely on the health system, How do we truly think that ius going to go??

My answer is it will not.
