NDIS TWO

I for one would be very concerned about this as this is going to be a lot harder for people like me (who is autistic, Asian) and we’ve already had suffered enough as it is and it’s not fair and it’s not right.

We have suffered enough as it is with the lack of supports available and not having anything on the table for us.

It may be easy but for me it is not easy as this is not safe for us and this is not useful for us and it is very stressful and difficult. And it’s been very painful and traumatic.

Unfortunately it has been the case for the people with a disability in the Asian community, as this is deemed too unsafe, too difficult and too exhausting and it’s very traumatising and very draining and very tiresome.

And no one should have to go through this.

We Asians are tired as hell

And we are tired of over explaining

And we are tired of proving our disability and Asianness everyday.

Just to get access to support.

We are tired and we are exhausted and we are battered.

We had to get through the process just like as anyone else but it’s too exhausting and painful and it’s the thing that puts me off from applying. It’s because it is too difficult for us and with me having to prove my Asianness and my disability every single day. It is worse.

It is the constant pressure to justify their needs to a rigid system

And it is the feeling of having to actually over explain

And to justify my cultural needs to the system that didn’t care

It is wrong and it is unfair.

We Asians had suffered a lot and we have been too been quietly suffering, it’s because you took our supports, our power, our confidence and our autonomy away from us and our rights.

We suffered greatly.

We are so sorry but this is years and years and this should never ever happened.

And we wish you done a bit better in fixing it up that will suits us Asians

It’s because we deserve better

And we deserve to be treated better with the systems that care. And that is what I would have expected from people in the system every day and it’s no joke.

And that is gotta be done to ensure that no one in the Asian community suffers as a result of your actions.

And please be considered of us as Asian and do better.

And fix the whole thing.
